Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. O'Dell later became a morning news anchor for WCBD TV and also as a crime reporter. Her reporting of the ineffective responses of police officers towards DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. O'Dell, in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of Pre-ShowArrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. In addition, she hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
